Thank you for your interest in Summit 2017. We have reached full capacity, registration is now closed.

CALL FOR SPEAKERS

You are invited to submit an abstract for the 1ST Annual Commonwealth Computational Summit at the University of Kentucky. Presentations are being sought in three areas: Big Data and Discovery; Big Computing and HPC; and Future Technologies.

Guidelines for Presentations:

Presentations will be 25 minutes in length with 5 minutes for questions. Presentations will focus on exciting computational oriented research conducted by faculty throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The audience for presentations will be other faculty researchers, graduate students and industry scientist and engineers working in computational fields.

Information Submission:

The following information must be submitted by Tuesday, September 5, 2017 . Selection of speaker will be completed by September 11th, 2017. A complete program will be distributed within a short time after this date. See submission web form below.

Note: Optional PDF upload is also available; Laptop projector equipment will be available.

Area/Topic of Research Options:

Big Data & Discovery -
Potential topics include but are not limited to: informatics, bioinformatics, data mining, machine learning, deep learning, linguistics-textual analysis, sensor data aggregation/analysis, data science, knowledge discovery, data architecture, data engineering, predictive analysis, applications using Hadoop/Spark, etc.
Big Computing/HPC -
Potential topics include but are not limited to: applications in high performance computing (CFD, Molecular Dynamic Simulations, HEP, QCD, computational sciences/engineering challenges, etc.), genomic pipeline processing, complex modeling/simulations, extreme scale computing, HPC software tools, techniques and performance analysis, etc.
Future Technologies -
Potential topics include but are not limited to: quantum computing, cloud computing, object stores, augmented reality & VR, high performance networks, software defined/programmable networks, GPUs/TPUs, optical computing, DNA computing, cognitive computing, autonomic computing, etc.

The CCS2 Technical Program Committee will review all submissions and select three presentations for each topic area based upon quality of abstracts submitted, research interest/impact and mixture of topics. It should be noted that after the Summit, all slides (PDF) for the speakers will be posted in our CCS2 Online Summit Proceedings.
